Bread grilled with salt and chilli or “Banh mi nuong muoi ot” is a Vietnamese street food favoured by many people. It has recently become popular in some major cities of Vietnam. You can see young people waiting in long lines to taste this flavourful and unique snack from the food stands. This street food becomes popular because it offers a combination of American and Vietnamese taste. In addition, it is also a simple food that everyone can try right when coming to the country.

I. Vietnamese Bread Grilled With Salt And Chilli – The Introduction

Vietnamese bread grilled with salt and chilli has been flatten using the backside of a cutting board or a rolling pin, then smeared with scallion oil, chilli oil and melted butter. Then, it is grilled over hot charcoal. Next, it is cut into a few bite-sized pieces and topped with Sriracha, mayo, slices of hot dogs or dried pork or chicken floss. When the bread is placed over the charcoal, the smell from the scallion oil, chilli oil and melted butter is so great. In addition, adding the creamy mayonnaise and savoury toppings will give you a spicy, savoury and crunchy snack.

Bread grilled with salt and chilli here is served with mayonnaise, herbs, cucumber, and a few slices of sausage.
