The Store Cupboard

Vietnamese Cookery School

As a busy chef with two children, I know what it’s like to come home from a hectic day at work only to discover that the fridge is bare! And whilst I love the odd pizza, grabbing the nearest take out menu is neither good for my waistline, nor my wallet.

Spices, vietnamese cookery school

So it pays to have some store cupboard essentials that you can turn to when the fridge is looking a bit bare.

Our big box of Storecupboard essentials is ideal. It’s filled to the brim with useful spices that you can’t normally get in the supermarket, amazing things like dried mushrooms (which come into their own on those dark winter nights when you just need something nourishing to nosh on) fluffy rice, pancakes… the list is endless.

And who even has a bunch of fresh chillies just lounging about on a Wednesday evening? Our box includes a big bag of lovely spicey dried red chillies so you don’t have to worry that you’re missing an ingredient when all you want is a big bowl of noodles infused with some heat!

From rice, to our favourite noodles, tons of lovely herbs and spices, fish sauce, soy sauce, shrimp paste and seasoning, our boxes are jam packed full of store cupboard essentials to make quick and easy meals in minutes – so no more pizza! Unless you really want pizza that is… I think my children would vote for pizza every night if I let them! We even do a vegetarian and a gluten free box.

And if you grab your box now, it includes a month’s worth of membership to our cookery school too! How could you resist? Head on over to our shop to get your hands on one.

Can I buy this for my son in law? Chris and Victoria live in Oxford but have been missing their fix of Bistro Saigon when they have been here to stay with us?

Hi Geraldine, of course! We’d love to see you son in law join in the fun. Just head over to the shop and get your hands on one of our lovely gift vouchers. They can use that to redeem against our membership so they can get some lovely Vietnamese food back in their life! Thanks so much! Loc.
