Le Thi Rieng Park is a green oasis and a valuable treasure in Ho Chi Minh City that helps you stay away from the vehicles and noise. Furthermore, it is also one of the biggest parks in Saigon City.

Where Is Le Thi Rieng Park

Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City is located at 875 Cach Mang Thang Tam (Cách Mạng Tháng Tám) Street, Ward 15, District 10. It is approximately 4 kilometers away from Ben Thanh (Bến Thành) Market. Le Thi Rieng Park is also known as Tho Trang (Thỏ Trắng) Park (that means “White Rabbit” Park in English.”

When Is The Best Time To Visit Le Thi Rieng Park

No matter whenever you come, Le Thi Rieng Park is still beautiful and gorgeous. However, if you want to enjoy the best Saigon without interruption due to the bad weather, the best time for you to visit Ho Chi Minh in general and Le Thi Rieng Park, in particular, is the dry months from December to March. During these months, the temperature is quite high but will cool down in the early morning or late afternoon. It is a reason why many locals gather in the park at that time to relax, stroll around the park, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. So, if you visit the park in the early morning or late afternoon, you can have a great opportunity to meet locals and participate in the daily activities of people in Ho Chi Minh City.

Le Thi Rieng Park looks like a green oasis in Saigon city as 80% of the park is lush greenery. So a visit to the park will help you enjoy the refreshing atmosphere. It also a great relaxing spot for not only locals but also visitors. The park covers an area of 8 ha. Different from other parks that have flat and even terrain, Le Thi Rieng Park owns many rolling hills.

In the past, during the war, the park was a graveyard. For instance, before 1975, it was Do Thanh (Đô Thành) Cemetery where the unnamed soldiers rested in peace.

What To Do In Le Thi Rieng Park

In the morning, you can see people of all ages gather in the park for doing exercises, dancing, walking and playing sports like volleyball, badminton, etc.

Inside Le Thi Rieng Park, there is an amusement area where children can play many outdoor games like merry go round, seesaw, roller coaster, swing, slide, etc.

Visiting the park on special occasions such as Christmas, Tet Holiday, Mid-fall festival or Halloween is a memorable experience as, during these occasions, the park is decorated beautifully and vibrantly.

The park also has a big pond. You can come to relax.

Where To Eat Near Le Thi Rieng Park

Around the big pond at the park are a lot of beverage and food stalls where you can enjoy the special street food here. If you do not like street food, you can easily find a good restaurant near the park.
